A Firm Built Around
Careful IP Work
Naga Pact was founded with one purpose: to give businesses and creators a methodical, transparent path to registered intellectual property protection under Thai law.
Back to HomeFounded on the Belief That IP Deserves Attention
Naga Pact was established in Bangkok in 2012 by a team of practitioners who felt that intellectual property clients in Thailand deserved the same quality of service available in larger commercial centres. Too often, trademark and patent work was treated as routine filing — something to pass through an administrative queue rather than to engage with thoughtfully.
We built this firm differently. Every application that leaves our office has been reviewed for distinctiveness, classification accuracy, and prior-art positioning. Every client receives a plain-language summary of where their matter stands and what the next step requires.
Over twelve years, we have assisted Thai entrepreneurs, regional businesses, and multinational companies in protecting their trademarks, patents, and broader IP portfolios within the Thai legal system. The firm's name — Naga Pact — reflects both the guardian symbolism of the naga in Thai tradition and the binding, contractual nature of registered intellectual property.
Our Mission
To provide individuals and organisations with accurate, well-considered intellectual property registration services that give their creative and commercial assets durable legal standing in Thailand.
Accuracy first. Every filing decision is grounded in current DIP practice and classification guidance.
Plain communication. We explain each stage in language that does not require a law degree to follow.
Long-term thinking. We help clients plan IP portfolios that support business growth, not just individual filings.

How We Maintain Rigour Across Every Matter
Pre-Filing Clearance Search
Before any trademark application is filed, we conduct a thorough similarity search against existing DIP records across the relevant classes to identify potential conflicts early.
Documentation Integrity
All technical specifications, claims drafts, and translated materials are reviewed by at least two team members before submission, reducing the risk of amendable deficiencies.
Deadline Calendar Management
Renewal dates, opposition windows, and examination response deadlines are tracked in our internal calendar system, with advance alerts sent to clients before each critical date.
Confidentiality Protocol
All client matter details are handled under strict confidentiality. Documentation is stored securely, access is role-restricted, and no client information is shared with third parties without consent.
Transparent Fee Structure
We issue a detailed cost estimate before commencing work, distinguishing between professional fees and government filing fees. No supplementary charges arise without prior discussion.
Treaty and Regulatory Awareness
We maintain current awareness of Thailand's IP Act provisions, DIP administrative updates, ASEAN IP treaty obligations, and the Patent Cooperation Treaty processes relevant to our clients.
What Guides Our Practice
Intellectual property law in Thailand operates within a well-defined statutory framework, yet the quality of any given application depends on the skill applied within that framework. At Naga Pact, we hold that careful preparation before filing produces better outcomes than reactive corrections after problems arise. This conviction shapes how we approach trademark classification, claims structuring in patent work, and the sequencing of portfolio enforcement actions.
We work with clients across manufacturing, consumer goods, creative industries, technology, and agriculture — sectors where IP assets carry direct commercial value. Our advice is always specific to the registered or pending assets at issue, not generic guidance drawn from unrelated precedents.
Respect for the client's time is a practical value, not a stated one. We answer enquiries promptly, prepare status summaries that require no interpretation, and flag upcoming deadlines before they become pressing. Businesses should not need to chase their IP agents for basic updates.
We are based on Phayathai Road in Bangkok's Ratchathewi district — a location central to both commercial Bangkok and the government buildings where much of our filing work takes place. International clients contact us via email and video call; local clients are welcome to arrange in-person consultations at our office.
